WRINKLE / MUSCLE RELAXANTS
Erin Aesthetics offers a number of Muscle Relaxant/Wrinkled Skin Treatments, with popular treatments including forehead and frown lines, facial slimming and brow lifts.
Wrinkle Relaxant Treatments involve natural proteins generated from bacteria, delivered to a particular area to cause a temporary block in the signalling from the nerve to the muscle. This relaxes the over contracting muscle resulting in a smoothing of wrinkled skin.

+ What to expect during treatment?
All injectable treatments require a thorough consultation with a Registered nurse and consent from a Doctor prior to administration as all injectable treatments are a prescription medication. The procedure itself usually takes around 5-10 minutes and involves the nurse injecting a predetermined dosage of anti wrinkle product into desired area/s using a very fine micro needle. Any discomfort felt is minimal and brief.
+ ARE THE RESULTS IMMEDIATE AND HOW LONG DO THEY LAST?
Anti wrinkle treatments usually take anywhere from 3-5 days to start taking effect but full results are seen within 2 weeks and can last 2-4 months.
+ WHAT ARE THE RISKS AND SIDE EFFECTS?
Common side effects include mild swelling and/or bruising at the site of injection. Unevenness of results in the area injected, typically the forehead, can occur, but can be corrected at a follow up appt at 2 weeks. Some patients experience headache in the first days after treatment. Rare adverse events include, muscle asymmetry if the relaxer has migrated into a neighbouring muscle or ptosis (drop) of the lid or brow.
